Patent Acquisitions
We acquire patent portfolios from organizations of all sizes - from large corporations to small businesses - as well as from individual inventors. Upon completion of the acquisition, we invest both our financial resources and our specialized expertise to maximize the results of the monetization efforts. While we can structure these acquisitions in a number of different ways, typically the patent owner receives cash upon closing and also shares in the backend proceeds of the monetization efforts. This approach allows patent holders to realize immediate value while also benefiting from potential long-term returns.
Law Firm Financing
We offer portfolio financing to law firms, enabling them to take on contingency work while also maintaining stable cash flow. Our financing typically encompasses several patent litigation campaigns within a law firm’s portfolio. Our funds can be used for fees and costs associated with the litigations. The law firm is able to offer full contingency fee arrangements, allowing it to attract a broader set of potential clients. Additionally, we often refer new clients to our partner law firms, further enhancing their business opportunities.
Litigation Funding
We provide non-recourse funding to patent owners that can be used for fees and costs associated with patent litigation. This allows the claimants to mitigate risk while allowing them to choose the best legal counsel. If the patent owner is successful, we share in the success. If the patent owner is unsuccessful, we have no further recourse.
